Anatemah is a trio formed in 2023 by Alessandro Fedrigo (electric bass), Michele Tedesco (trumpet) and Gian Ranieri Bertoncini (drums). The project grew out of a desire to challenge contemporary musical conventions and restore a deeply human dimension to music, weaving together jazz, electronics and sonic experimentation. Anatemah moves between composition and improvisation, acoustic sound and electronic processing, creating a language that retains emotional immediacy despite its complexity. The trio cultivates an aesthetic that might be described as everyday surrealism: a sonic transformation of reality, in which the dreamlike and the unreal become ways of exploring identity and the authenticity of personal experience. Anatemah's new recording project is entitled "Sambeo Da Rocolo", a phrase in the Venetian dialect that reflects the musicians' local roots. The image of a bird attracting others with its song symbolises the trio's artistic aim: to create a sonic call for people today, often lost in a frantic, fragmented world. The compositions invite listeners to shed the masks imposed by society The album also features guitarist and producer Frank Martino, a visionary musician who further expands the depth and sonic imagination of the trio.
